Leanne Topfer

Leanne gained a Bachelor of Laws with first class honours from the University of Tasmania in 1982 and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania and High Court in 1983.

Leanne has experience in a number of areas of law with an emphasis on:

Civil litigation – particularly personal injury claims
Motor vehicle accidents
Medical negligence
Workers compensation
Insurance and employment law.

On her weekly visits to McLean McKenzie & Topfer’s Smithton office Leanne deals with many Family Law and Relationships Act cases. She was President of the Law Society of Tasmania in 2006 and has been on the Executive Committee of the Council of the Law Society since 2001.

Leanne is a director of Advance Burnie, a member of the North West Advisory Board of the University of Tasmania, and a member of the Tasmanian University Union Board of Management.

Leanne is married to Colin McKenzie with two sons and in her spare time enjoys walking, relaxing at Sisters Beach and reading a good book.
